Stratiscope Founder and CEO John Bwarie has spent the past two decades building and activating communities, creating messages that lead to direct actions, and creating plans to achieve targeted results related to community resilience. During the current pandemic crisis, he leads a twice-weekly Community Crisis Response Forum for business leaders across the State. He founded and leads the Community Brand Accelerator and the Community Brand Intensive. He also serves as the Executive Director of the San Fernando Valley Council of Governments.
John assists businesses during community crises like wildfires and earthquakes to help them strengthen their community brand and amplify their business purpose. He worked for the Los Angeles Mayor and City Council, co-created the Great ShakeOut and CA Clean Air Day, and developed the SoCal Disaster Risk Reduction Initiative with partners from Walt Disney Company, Wells Fargo, AEG, Port of Los Angeles, SoCal Edison, SoCalGas, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, USC, and other regional agencies. He advises renowned seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones, Apple, the Mexican Consulate, SEAOSC, American Geophysical Union, and others on building community resilience.
