Join Gavin Nardocchio-Jones and VICA’s International Trade Committee for a discussion on the US-Canada trade partnership, California’s relationship with Canada, and the future of NAFTA.
 
Mr. Nardocchio-Jones has been a Foreign Service Officer for the Government of Canada since 2009.

Before his current assignment, which began in September 2016, Gavin held several positions within the Department that is now Global Affairs Canada. These included Desk Officer in the West and Central Africa Division; Senior Policy Officer in the International Crime and Terrorism Division; and as Second Secretary (Political) at the Embassy of Canada in Senegal.

Originally from Toronto, Gavin began his career in diplomacy working for the Délégation Générale du Québec in the UK before joining the Canadian High Commission in London, where he worked as a Locally Engaged Staff in the Public Affairs and Advocacy division.
He has a BA (Hons) from University College London (UCL) and an MSC from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in History & French and History of International Relations respectively. Since settling in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles in 2016, he and his spouse Melanie have got a dog, and Gavin continues to pursue his passion for basketball, hip hop and gastronomy.
