    "I understand that elected leaders are trying to protect workers. But the overwhelming majority of business owners treat their workers respectfully - that's just good business sense. The laws that are being passed are "protecting" workers right out of a job, when businesses close, move out of state, or reduce their workforce in order to afford these rising costs. And the truly crappy employers, the ones that workers need protecting from, ignore the laws anyway."
     
    Powerful San Fernando Valley Business Group Issues its 2020 Legislative Priorities

    The Valley Industry and Commerce Association, a powerful business group in the San Fernando Valley, has released its list of legislative priorities for the year.  "For the last two years, our membership has determined that our main priority and focus should be to support policies that will help provide and develop more housing and shelter," said VICA President Stuart Waldman in a statement. "The housing and homelessness crisis is continuing to worsen, and we believe the business community plays an important role in developing policies that will generate real solutions."
