  • Investing in the Future of the Valley’s Medical Needs

    Today, Providence Tarzana Medical Center’s proposal to expand their facility passed a major milestone as they earned approval from the Los Angeles City Council. The project will provide Valley residents access to a new state-of-the-art patient wing, a new Emergency Department, an expanded diagnostic and treatment area, and a new parking structure.
    The Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA) commends Providence Tarzana Medical Center’s innovative vision and the decision by the Los Angeles City Council to support this important investment for the San Fernando Valley.
    VICA President Stuart Waldman said:
    “Providence Tarzana Medical Center has been a critical asset for the San Fernando Valley community. As the medical needs continue to evolve for our region, this project will ensure Valley residents have access to world-class health care services for years to come.
    “This project has received endless support every step of the process and we are proud to have members of the community come together to help move this project forward and gain approval from the Los Angeles City Council.
    “Today’s approval of Providence Tarzana’s project is a major victory for the Valley as it will create over 1,000 construction jobs and serve our community with innovative and cutting edge medical technology. We look forward to its quick construction and opening in 2022.”
