  • dineLA Restaurant Week Moves to Summer

    Los Angeles Tourism is excited to announce that the first ever Summer dineLA Restaurant Week will take place July 16-27, 2012.  This promotion allows restaurants to promote al fresco dining and summer menus featuring food items that are only available during the summer months.

    Presented by Los Angeles Tourism and American Express, dineLA Restaurant Week is a two-week dining event, showcasing Los Angeles as a premier dining destination and highlighting the diversity of culinary experiences LA has to offer.  dineLA Restaurant Week is designed to stimulate business and introduce new customers to restaurants located in the many neighborhoods throughout LA County. Participating restaurants are located throughout the city, including several in the San Fernando Valley, such as Casa Vega, Red Room Food & Wine Bar, SUGARFISH and Raphael.

"The summer schedule lends itself to a wide range of dining experiences—from poolside to patio, oceanfront to garden—all at an incredible value.”

Due to the popularity of this event, advance reservations are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

    dineLA is a dynamic marketing initiative between Los Angeles Tourism, American Express and the LA restaurant community to promote the scale and variety of LA restaurant and food experiences to locals and visitors.  dineLA’s comprehensive Web site, www.dineLA.com, provides detailed information about featured chefs, celebrity hotspots, a culinary events calendar, as well as engaging and timely editorial content.  dineLA Restaurant Week is a huge success with restaurants, who see an average 25% increase in sales, as well as diners—an estimated 300,000 of them annually—who are able to explore the LA dining scene in a totally new way.  

    The first dineLA Restaurant Week was held in January 2008 and featured 143 restaurants from all over LA County. Now a bi-annual event, the program showcases over 200 restaurants who offer specially priced three-course meals to adventurous, curious diners.  At the conclusion of dineLA Fall 2011 Restaurant Week, the dining affair resulted in a 24% increase in diners from the previous year’s program. Attracting over 35,700 diners to 304 restaurants throughout the city over its two-week run, dineLA continues to remain one of the country’s largest restaurant weeks.
