CalOSHA’s has updated requirements for electronic submission of your Form 300A “Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses” for 2017.
Previously, employers in California did not have to comply with the electronic filing requirement imposed by the federal OSHA. But on October 18, 2018, Cal/OSHA issued an amendment to conform California’s recordkeeping requirements to the federal OSHA program. Now, certain California employers must submit their 300A data for 2017 to the federal OSHA Injury Tracking Application (ITA) by December 31, 2018.
This electronic filing requirement applies only to the following
- All employers with 250 or more employees, unless specifically exempted by section 14300.2 of title 8 of the California Code of Regulations
- Employers with 20 to 249 employees in the specific industries listed in Appendix H of the emergency regulations.
